Tesla’s Model Y panoramic glass roof is one of the largest single panes of glass on any production car. The factory glass does well on UV but very little on the infrared spectrum — the actual heat. On a 95° Orlando afternoon, that radiant load hits your head and shoulders constantly. A ceramic glass-roof film blocks the bulk of it without darkening the cabin, and the comfort difference is immediate.

The clear ceramic windshield film is the second-biggest comfort upgrade — it cuts the heat coming through the steeply-raked front glass while staying ~70–80% VLT (essentially clear) and Florida-legal.

Should I tint the panoramic glass roof on my Model Y?+

In Florida, almost everyone benefits. Tesla’s factory glass roof blocks UV but lets a lot of infrared through — which is exactly the heat you feel on the top of your head at noon. Optional ceramic roof film dramatically reduces overhead radiant heat without darkening the cabin.

Will tint slow down Autopilot or interfere with Sentry cameras?+

No. Our Tesla-safe ceramic is signal-transparent, and every cutout is pre-mapped — the B-pillar cameras, front cameras, and forward sensor windows stay clear.

What VLT do most Model Y owners pick in Orlando?+
